Data protection policy

Ages & Stages helps families find things to do that suit children of different ages. This policy explains what information we collect, why we need it, how we keep it safe and what your rights are.

What we collect

• Family data you add yourself: children's names (optional) and ages to power the activity matcher. This is stored in your browser by default unless you create an account, in which case it is linked to your profile.
• Account data: when you sign up we store your email address through our secure auth provider.
• Points and rewards: a local family reference, review and points history used to unlock rewards. Redemptions of partner offers are recorded so partners can see how their offer is being used.
• Partner applications: business name, contact name, email, phone number, country code, town, business type and the family offer submitted. This is used to review and publish listings.
• Payment data: we do not store card details. Payments for partner plans are handled by Stripe; we only keep the subscription status, plan, price and billing period required to manage the listing.

How we use it

• To match activities to your family and show suitable roles for each age.
• To run the points and rewards programme.
• To process partner sign-ups, keep listings accurate and send service emails.
• To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.

What we do not do

• We do not sell personal data to third parties.
• We do not share children's details with partners unless you explicitly choose to redeem an offer and that partner needs the information to fulfil it.
• We do not use your data for marketing unless you have explicitly opted in.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the address below. If you have a concern about how we handle your data, you also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office.

Security

We use encrypted connections, access controls and secure backend services to protect your data. Only authorised administrators can access partner applications, payment records and user roles. Admin access is granted by verified email invitation only.

Cookies and storage

We use local browser storage to remember your children's ages and points between visits if you are not signed in. You can clear this at any time via your browser settings.
