What you need

  • Smooth pebbles
  • Acrylic paints
  • Brushes
  • Newspaper

How to run it

  1. Wash and dry the pebbles.
  2. Base coat first, let it dry while you have a snack.
  3. Add detail, then leave overnight.
  4. Hide them on a walk tomorrow.

Making it work for every age

Younger children: Let them finger-paint their pebbles in one colour and call it done.

Older children: Fine liner details, a coat of varnish, and a hashtag on the back so finders can post it.
